We had a busy two hour meeting on June 9, 2008.

We weeded the Pollinator Habitat and uncovered our plants that were covered with Crown Vetch. Besides many weeds, we removed many wild onions.

Thanks to Ms. Aubrecht,  A.J., Sara, Kasey, and Libby for working so hard to get everything accomplished.

Thanks to Mrs. Kostik, Ms. Aubrecht, Ms. Underwood, Ms. Randig,  A. J., Kacey, Carly, Shawn, Logan, and Sara for attending the June 12th  meeting.

  •  We cleaned and filled the fountains, butterfly dishes, and birdbath.
  •  We cleaned and filled all the bird feeders.
  •  We planted Tall Tickseed and Starry Champion in the Woodland Habitat

Thanks to Christian, Sara, Kacey, Mrs. Kostik, Ms. Underwood, and Ms. Aubrecht for helping to maintain the habitats on June 24, 2008.

Thanks to Mrs. Kostik, Ms. Aubrecht, Evan, A. J., Sara, Brenna, Carly, Madeline, Libby, and Nathan for working to make our Woodland and Pollinator Habitats look great on July 18, 2008. We had so much help that we had enough time to see the Pollinator Presentation that Ms. Aubrecht will present at the outdoor demonstration gardens at South Park. Our school will be featured as a school that has a well developed Pollinator Habitat.

The flowers looked so great that we a slide show is featured on the South Allegheny website under Parents, and Harmony Habitats in July.

Thanks to Ms. Underwood for presenting her information that she obtained at the 2008 Butterfly Walk at South Park County Park.

We thank Christian, Sara, Brenna, Kacey, and A. J., Ms. Aubrecht, and Ms. Underwood for working in both habitats. The pollinator plants are attracting many butterflies and bees.

We were excited to post our Monarch Waystation sign in our Pollinator Habitat on August 18, 2008. Madeline, Kacey, Libby, Brenna, and A.J. are pictured with our sign that certifies our site as a Monarch Waystation. Our registry number is #2287. We also will be will be adding more milkweed and nectar plants to our habitat with the seed kit that we obtained.
